El Regreso a Casa, el Regreso a Roma

Five of six highlights are cut mid-sentence (“escala, en”, “vez. A mediados del semestre”). One is a substantial first-person account of a Eucharistic moment. The narrator (the highlight does not name which author) describes being a Presbyterian who had made a promise about the year 1990, then watching the priest raise the host:

“Sentí que la última gota de duda se había secado en mí. Con todo mi corazón musité: «Señor mío y Dios mío. ¡Tú estás allí realmente! Y si eres Tú, entonces quiero tener comunión plena contigo. No quiero perderme de nada».” English: “I felt the last drop of doubt dry up in me. With all my heart I whispered: ‘My Lord and my God. You are really there! And if it is You, then I want full communion with you. I don’t want to miss anything.‘”

The narrative continues with daily return to the chapel and falling in love “de pies a cabeza, de Nuestro Señor en la Eucaristía”, and relief at belonging: “¡No era yo un huérfano!” (I was not an orphan!). Another fragment reads “patente que no pertenecíamos a ninguno” ([it was] evident that we belonged to neither), consistent with a story of not fitting existing denominations, but the context is cut off, so this is an inference.
